Jobbeschreibung | The position is embedded in the Research Training Group “cGMP: From Bedside to Bench” (Graduiertenkolleg GRK 2381) funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). This research consortium is investigating the role of the cellular signaling molecule cGMP in an interdisciplinary approach. We are looking for a highly motivated doctoral researcher to join project P1 “Heterogeneity of cGMP signaling in the tumor microenvironment” (supervised by Prof. Dr. Robert Feil). This project uses state-of-the-art transgenic mouse models and imaging technologies to determine the functional relevance and therapeutic potential of cGMP in the tumor vasculature. The PhD program supports an international internship in the laboratory of our collaborative partner at MGH/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA (Prof. Dr. Dai Fukumura), who is also co-advisor of the doctoral thesis. |
Qualifikationen | A Master's degree in life sciences or equivalent is required for the position. Applicants should have a strong interest in cancer biology and in working at the interface of biochemistry, cell biology and biomedicine. Ideally, candidates have previous experience with mice and/or fluorescence microscopy. |
